Tonight I was inspired to try and post to both blogs. It's been so busy with work and travel and Christmas that I haven't had time. This evening was so wonderful b/c I met Mark for dinner in SA and then we both went to Knit Nite at Justin's. Though no crafting actually occurred, we did at least talk about it (a little bit). :)
It was so fun and relaxing and made me miss our SA KNs. When we first started those, we sometimes filled up our entire office (after work of course). Good times. Well, things sure have changed and many of us have moved on and now I will try and get the Seguin group going. I really wish our local coffee house would stay open later into the evening. I need to investigate that or some place where we can eat and craft and linger....hmmmm. Something else to work on.
This is Sonia, Mark and me at my first company Christmas party this past Sunday. I love that place! It was very family oriented and people seem to genuinely enjoy being there together. It felt really nice and made me feel good about being a part of it all. Every employee family received a goody bag. We got a laser level/tape measure tool, a crystal clock and a company calendar. All very nice. And there were door prizes as well. It was a cool experience. The cotton candy was in the children's area where games and a big screen TV for football were set up. Last week Sonia and I went to Columbia (SC) for a Kronos class and we had a great time. That's my third time there and I like it even more each time I visit. The mill there (CMC Steel SC) has about 450 employees, compared to about 900 here in Seguin. That's a pretty good size I think. It's always nice to visit partly b/c it's so close to NC and I love NC.
Better head to bed now. Early day tomorrow.
