Ha ha, not Smokey & the Bandit as you might think. Amazingly, Smokey is very comfortable being around the bees and vice versa. They have never bothered each other and Smokey's never been stung. Often when we check on the bees, and particularly when Mark gets up close to the hive, Smokey is right there with him, sitting on the wood beams. He's such a cutie. Even if he does behave badly and sleep on my clean clothes today when he had his own towel to sleep on!
Mark and I had date night this evening and it was great! I worked early and came home to cook dinner with Mark before we headed to a Monday night movie, we even skipped the Spurs/Nuggets game (well, we still made it home in time to catch part of third and all of fourth quarters). We saw Vantage Point in San Marcos and enjoyed it immensely. Very interesting movie and action-packed. Somewhat predictable but still an excellent movie.
