I admire this duck.

I admire this duck because when I looked at him, I could see how hard he was working. At first I simply thought he was funny to be swimming against the current as he was. Then I could see how determined he was to get where some of the other ducks were. He just kept pushing and pushing himself.

Now as I study this picture again, I feel as if he represents how I have felt the past week or so. Like I'm moving against the current. Trying to work but having to fight to make any progress. At least until today. Today we got a bit of good/bad news at work. Bad because we lost some temporary help we recently got but good because that resource ended up causing more stress than relieving it -- so at least now we can move forward more smoothly.
