My first avocado shake
This is the face of an undecided woman, pondering the avocado shake given to her at BK.
So. After years of wondering, I finally tried my first avocado shake. I sipped. Nothing came up. Tried to sip again. Nearly passed out and also nearly sunk in my cheeks permanently. Worked out the kink in my straw and finally got a good taste.
At first, I just couldn't decide. I kept thinking that I was eating something savory. And that it belonged on my chicken fajita salad from El Ranchito in town. I tried it for about 10 or 15 sips and did a lot of smacking and swooshing. But in the end, I decided it was not for me. I don't get it. It is SUPER popular among the Asian community. It's ranked one of the most purchased flavors. I'll stick with mocha with pearls.

Well i would say that your face says it all, I like avocado but i think this is not for me either
Some things that taste good to some people are not worth tasting among others. I would not like fresh mare's milk but to a lot of people that is fried chicken, turkey breasts and mashed potatoes. In fact that is about all they eat or drink.
I know when I was a kid we were poorer than Job and mom was working for an old goat farmer, keeping house, fixing meals and sending me off to a horrid country school. We had no ice box or refrigerator in those days so we ate what we had when it was on the table and nothing was left over to put away.
Cut to end of story:
When breakfast rolled around a bowl was plopped on the table in front of me and in it went either left over Corn Flakes or Wheaties or a little of both dumped out of both empty boxes into the bowl.
Then mom would walk out side and grab the nanny goat and put a tin bucket on the ground and mom would milk it. When she came in the bucket was frothy with big bubbles and that was promptly dumped over my cereal or part of it was.
"Eat up. Your bus will be here in 5 minutes," She said.
Oh, gag. I can't stand goat's milk to this day and warm, just out of the udder, goat's milk does not even taste good.
I hope you try something like a Chocolate Malt the next time you get a treat to drink.
Oh, and thanks for the visit. I always repay a visit with a visit and a comment with a comment.
Have a good one.
I think I can track one of these down at The Copper Cup. I'll let you know...
that is just how I used to have avodados as a child. Even to this day, I can not eat savory avocados. I like them only sweet. Condensed milk with a little ice and slices of avocados. MMMMMMM.
Hmmm, I think I will pass. I love avocados but somehow in a shake or smoothie it doesn't appeal. It is a pretty color though.
Ok..I'll try a tiny bit but don't want to pay for the whole thing...maybe Abraham and I can share...LOL.
I think if it had a touch more sweet to it, I might have been able to get past the savoryness. :)
Joel, maybe if you recommend a really good place, I will give it another try.
Sarah, tell me what you think of yours!
Thanks everyone!
i make it in the blender at home.
