Today is Sonia's birthday! So happy birthday girl! We also got the day off and it's wonderful to just relax and know you still have Saturday AND Sunday!! :) We went to see Hancock and I liked it because it was a fun movie and because I really like Will Smith. Even during his Fresh Prince of Bel Air days!! LOL. We did this early this morning so that we'd miss all the fuss and stuff on our street from all the parade festiviites and preparations. We've done enough of that in the past 10 years.
Things I noticed this year:
- There were not as many parade entries lined on our street as in the past.
- The stacks indicating where numbered floats are to line up were not in until about two days before the parade. In the past, I think we saw them about a week in advance.
- No horse poo on our street this year! :) But at the same time, no cool riders and horses on our street this year.
- No litter in our yard when we got home. Good!

Didn't do any parades this year but had a great time at our son's for BBQ and neighborhood fireworks.
