Knitting Friends and Big Kahuna

My fortune

Well, I wouldn't say "never." Some things I still have to work on in life. Actually, I should say I am typically not these things but of course there are plenty of things for me to work on in myself. And here are two other fortunes I thought fun, funny and appropriate last night. :)

Fortunes

Last night we met friends in San Antonio at the Big Kahuna for dinner, catching up and some crafting. Two of us knitted and one person drew/colored. I haven't seen my SA pals in months and I can't tell yuou how my heart swelled to see them and to give them each a hug. It was so wonderful!

The above yarn was given to me by Mark and I have been wanting to do something special with it and last night, I finally decided. My friend Tu Ann, who cooks at and was an owner of BK, really liked the yarn (50% Merino, 50% silk) so much that I am going to make a special scarf for her. I think I even have a pattern in mind but I need to get it on paper. Nothing fancy. I will snap a shot once I make some progress.

This yarn is so soft.

I think I may have to take up knitting again. My Mother in Law was so patient and tried to teach me years ago. I did it so tight I couldn't get the yarn off the needles. I gave up feeling so frustrated.
Like your fortunes and the silky yarn.

Yes, when I teach people how to knit, controling the tension of the yarn is key. It just takes patience, persistence and practice. Tood bad we can't try it again together!
