Work & Art (and Artwork)
Last week I took a one-day trip up to Corporate office in Irving (Dallas area). It was my first time there and since I didn't want to worry anyone with my digicam all over the place, I played it safe and just snapped a few shots with my phone camera. I did, however, snap some shots of this sculpture outside the building as I sat waiting for my cab back to the airport, Dallas Love Field. I love the swirls engraved on the surface. Below is a full shot of the sculpture. There were other really cool sculptures up on our main floor, these were made from scrap and I would have loved to photograph them but as there were important people roaming back and forth, I didn't want to appear as if I'd never been to a "big city" before. LOL
Well, things are going well. Just haven't made time to blog. That's naughty of me. I have enjoyed working out on a regular basis with Mark and I can already feel a difference on me even though I don't see it reflected on the scales. Oh well. I feel great and I look forward to our sessions. :) Work is going fine and I'm still enjoying it. Without travel, we've been able to focus on a couple of projects we've had to put off and we've had fun with our other team members.
This weekend we spent some time working on various little projects around the house and that felt great! I want to spruce things up a bit in time to decorate for the holidays! I love this time of year! I even pulled out some the gifts we already have and now I must update my shopping lists and see what's left. Exciting! And I get to make my own list for Santa Mark. Woo hoo!
One more thing, last week we went with Little Jess to see Ferris Bueller's Day Off at the Slab Cinema and had a blast! We nearly froze to death but still, we're glad we got that last movie in --- it's one of my favorite movies ever. I remember seeing it with some cousins in FL when we were teenagers. I so, so liked Matthew Broderick at that time. It's fun to think about old times.
