Author Update

Signing his first copy

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I posted! So here we go. The update on Mark is that he is pretty much recovered from the TGA episode thank goodness. And he's decided to not stay at SAPL until December as originally planned. I'm happy that he was able to finally let that part of life go so that he can focus more on his next book! Which is coming along quite nicely. And guess what? The first 200 books sold pretty fast and the publisher is running another 200 already! Cool. It's good to have you home and happy honey!

Bees are not making as much honey as we would love b/c the weather has been so hot and dry. Poor bees. BUT as I point out to Mark, at least they are not dying on us. That's sometimes more than other beekeepers can say. They appear to be doing fine considering the extreme drought. I believe we have broken our record 3-digit days this summer already. :( We may go out and check out the country bees later. I hear there is a GIGANTIC spider out there I need to see. :)

Work is okay. There is some light at the end of the tunnel at least since they did post my current position both internally and externally. Anybody have 8+ years of training experience and a bunch of SAP knowledge as well? If so, talk to me. :) The stress and demands are high but it's not without rewards. I am learning so much about the business, the company, working with upper management, supervising 20+ people, getting free Southwest tickets b/c of all the trips to Dallas, and more. But it's not just for me. I'm so grateful there was a way to work out something where I can still be the Trainer Lead. That will allow me to supervise five IT Trainers (Sonia is one) and I'll get to do what I know and love -- train. I'm very excited to have things settle down. The stress is not good for my blood pressure and migraines. I am thankful to have a nice job during this recession, don't get me wrong. I just had to make sure I didn't make myself sick trying to get it all done at work (which is impossible). Now all they have to do is hire another Global IT Training Manager. :) No sweat.
