Check out my new boots! We have each been needing some boots for working the bees and we finally found some we like without breaking the bank. We went to Cavender's at the San Marcos outlet area and the staff was super. The young man helping us found us great boots, even when I got discouraged because I couldn't find the ones I liked in my size. He found these and they feel super. I broke them in today in Gonzales - very nice. No worries about bee stings on the ankle or snake bites either. :-) Note: we stopped by the brand new Academy in San Marcos and while the store was lovely, the young staff - THREE in the shoe section - was not only not helpful, but they were in my way...playing ball in the middle of the aisle. Ugh. Annoyingly rude. So we told the front door guy. I need to fill out the card he gave me. Anyway, to balance out that visit, Chad at Cavender's rocked. Thank goodness there are still some hardworking young people to keep me from thinking all hope is lost with the young. ;-)
I'm off to Irving for three days. I guess I should go and finish packing. 4:30a is going to come around pretty early tomorrow. :-/
