I Heart Candles & Music

I love my new earbuds

...and my new earbuds! Who would have thought some $10 ear pieces would be the bomb, right? Well, these Skull Candy earbuds are really awesome. My friend Tod got some last year and liked them so much and talked about them just as much that I had to get Mark a set because he often commented that his existing earbuds weren't that great. It is really hard to find good ones that have great sound and that don't hurt your ears after a certain period of use. Anyway, they normally go for about $20 except that around the holidays you can find them cheaper. This year I saw and ad for Black Friday and swooped in for my cute little pink ones. As soon as I put them in, I was in love. If it's one thing I love, it's music. I love to hear it even more than I love to sing it. And I love a good bass sound especially when I'm working out. Music can make me forget all my troubles and stresses.

Pair that with sitting amongst hundreds of beeswax candles and wow...happy. It smells incredible when I sit in the living room, tying little gift bags and prepping candles for orders and general sale at the shows. And now that the weather is colder, I can actually light a lot of them and we love the way it warms up the rooms and fills the air with the scent of honey. Just about like being in the bee house. Very nice.

And to end on a funny note, we went to a new bee yard a couple of weekends ago so Mark could build some new hives with Russell queens that had come in earlier that week. This yard had a couple of fiesty hives so he warned me ahead of time and we both got fully suited. I did my thing and took pictures. Then he told me they were pretty fiesty still so my options were to get in the truck (still suited) or to move far off. I opted for far off. So I walked off and a little bee kept following me and bumping me. So I kept walking...

...and walking...and walking. I kept walking until she left me alone. If it's one thing I learned, it's to be fully suited and to take hints from Mark AND the bees. I walked away so far that Mark later told me he looked up to check on me and he couldn't even find/see me. And I had a big ole white suit! It cracked us up big time. I love my beeventures with Mark. Life if pretty awesome.

This is how far I moved away
