Painted Prettiness

Spurs Colors

Today's post (or should I say this quarter's post) is about the colors I'm trying out this spring. In honor of our Spurs doing so darn great this season (though there are spurts of lackluster performances), I have my silver and black polishes ready for the playoffs. I think we will actually go far this year if we can pull it together and toughen up. Also, playing more consistently would sure be good. Go Spurs! Our next game will be the Celtics at the end of the month. Silver and black toes and finger tips will be ready to go by then. :-)

I'm also enjoying trying new colors I never would have in the past except now I get them discounted from Mary Kay. LOVE THAT! My MK time has taught me to use the colors and products in ways that produce effects/results I like a lot so it's been a lot of fun. As I get older and see more lines, it's really also helped to learn more about the moisturizers and firming lotions that help my skin look better. This is not a plug for MK. It's more about how much fun I'm having these days playing with STUFF. lol

This all reminds me of something my wonderful brother told me when I was a teenager and I had started trying out some makeup. I think it was Cover Girl at the time, maybe Maybelline. Always the best, most caring older bro ever, he said that if I was going to try makeup and use it, then I should not use cheap makeup since it might not be good for my skin. I certainly wasn't thinking about the long term effects of makeup usage at that point! It's so good to have a cool brother watching out for you. Thanks big bro.
