Wow, it is actually chilly out there. Dare I hope winter is back? We only had about a week or two of cold weather in December so I am really missing the season. The next few days are suppose to be cold and they EXPECT icy roads Sunday morning. Right. I will believe it when I see it. Last weekend they got my hopes up with forecasts of cold temperatures over the weekend and it ended up about 20 degrees warmer than predicted. Though it was quite beautiful, I was hoping for FRIGID weather. When will I wear my scarves!?
Last night was Knit Nite. Very fun as usual even though we didn't have as many as we have had in the past. Our newbie this month was Laura from the front desk. She had never knitted so I taught her how to cast on and then she knitted several rows and very well at that. I think she is a natural. We also took time out to view Little Sonia's cruise pictures, that was a riot. She had a blast but we are glad to have her back. She's one of the happiest people I know so it's always good to have her cheeriness nearby.
I'm waiting for my Excel II students to arrive. The first group did great; got the info and had great questions. I even learned to link two worksheets onto on main form since one of the students really wanted to know that. It was cool. My classes always seem to go better out here than in SA. Still haven't figured out why.
Tomorrow is the family reunion on Uncle Mark's mom's side of the family. It will be our first time attending and we look forward to it. Making a big pot o' beans to take with us. And for dinner tonight...a big pot of JUMALAYA. Yum!
