Pirate Pumpkin
Yesterday we had the Central Library Staff Social. This was the last one where Sonia and Sarah would serve on the committee since they have now transferred to branch libraries. It was a little sad but we did have fun. I think it will feel weird without my girls there, as many moments and things and places feel a little odd now since the department was disbanded.
Mark had a great idea but it is now too late since the pumpkin decorating contest is over--I should have done an ER (Electronic Resources) pumpkin, with a scalpel which would represent the budget cut that disbanded one of the best things SAPL had going for it. Well, it is still a fun idea even if I didn't implement it.
This little guy was creating by the Shelving Dept. and I just loved him though the others were also very creative, cute and fun. I think I sort of feel like he looks! :)

Budget cuts have hurt so many good things in our towns.
Looks like you had a fun party though.
