Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

picture 404 cropped

I hope everyone had a happy Christmas. We went to Florida to visit my family (my parents, two sisters, one with a husband and two kids, and two brothers). It was so much fun! I have not done Christmas with them since moving to TX 11 years ago. I loved it. Especially opening gifts and digging out stocking goodies -- FUN!

While there, I was struck by this sight of the electronics we have come to love so much. I got a new camera for Christmas (thanks honey!!), check out the Kodak Z612 and so did my sister, I believe that's the Kodak C703 I believe. Or maybe the 743. Very nice. It's her first digicam.

Also got to indulge in my mom's wonderful cooking while we were there! This is her to-die-for wonton soup. What's great, besides the broth, is that she has shrimp and the bbq pork in there with the wontons on top of some delicate egg noodles. YUM! Mark and I had 2 meals of this and I could still eat more. If only we lived closer...

On the way home (we drove) we had to wait out a storm that ushered in several tornadoes, one being an F2 category! It went directly across our intended Interstate 75 route. I was driving so I couldn't get a shot of the damage to one of the buildings we saw -- debris was thrown across both sides of the 4 lane interstate. Thanks Mom and Dad for sheltering us while the storm passed.

That's quite a story. I'm glad you are safe and made it home in one piece.
That won ton soup looks soooo good. I think that is one of my very favorites.
Congrats on the new camera...
