A bit on the gruesome side but I am in love with the light and color of this shot. I was trying different settings on the camera and as I walked around my yard, I noticed this area where many feathers were scattered. Looked like mockingbird feathers. I don't know if Smokey did it or not. Maybe. This bunch of feathers looked interesting so I shot it. No touching, of course. When I loaded the photos, I really liked the clarity of this shot. So that's my explanation for having a somewhat sad shot of a poor bird's misfortune.

I like this shot too, it almost doesn't look natural, like someone just laid their flying apparatus down while they went to do something else.
it was a bit creepy but fascinating I must admit.
