Spurs event and house projects
Poor Mark had to work yesterday so I took Sonia with me to the Spurs fan appreciation party. It was a casino event at the Sunset Station train depot in SA and we had a very good time. Sonia taught me how to play roulette and that was fun, more fun than I thought once I knew what the playing options were. That Sonia is a pro at it. Got to take pics with Fabricio and the Spurs, oh and also the three trophies. They had raffles for some really great prizes, like a game pack for you and 11 friends, Spurs luggage, watches and there was even the autographed ball from the team. That would have been cool. Sonia and I had several tickets each and I just wanted to win anything. So I was very happy, though disbelieving at first, that they called out my number for Bruce Bowen's jersey! I haven't ever really won any raffles, just not meant to be I guess. So next to having Tim Duncan's jersey, I would think this is the coolest (for current players). Tim is my favorite player but I also like Bruce a lot. I'm going to frame it and put it in the study.
Speaking of the study, I am going to finally get rid of the loft bed. We are donating it to the Women's Shelter and then we can proceed with converting that room into our study and *craft* room (that's my part of the room, he he). I'm very excited about this. Other projects include getting the new new tub in. I hope this time it will go smoothly. For those of you who didn't hear my moans, our last tub incident ended with us asking the plumber, Mr. P, to put the old clawfoot tub back in b/c the new tub was damaged when the dealer turned it over in order to paint the bottom. He had to order us a new tub. And now who knows when we'll get it in there. Sigh. Oh well. One of these days we'll finish with the bathroom. At least we learned that our old tub was made by Kohler, good company, in 1915. That's old in my book. It was neat to see the bottom of the tub. Oh, and I do need to work on the landscaping project now that it's getting warmer. Yikes, where is all the time flying to on me?!?!?

Congratulations on winning. It sounds like a fun appreciation event.
I know what you are going through with your renovation. We are doing so much work to get our house ready to put on the market. 2 bathrooms done and the kitchen is 80% finished. We've been without water in the kitchen for 3 weeks. Very inconvenient. Tonight the sink will be put in and hopefully everything will be hooked up. I can't wait. Then its painting the walls and cabinets and onward to the finish line.
Good luck with your tub.
