Me & Kitty
So I said I just HAD to do it and I'm glad Shorty was around to snap a shot for me! This was taken on my last day at the Library and after we had closed. That cat was just asking for people to come and have a sit on it. And it was not very easy to get up there. Bronze can be slippery and I nearly slipped off several times. I had fun.
And here is a shot of the bee check Mark and Jacki did on Friday. Mark said they are getting stronger and doing well. So well that he added two more supers on the hive! I'm so glad they are happier and producing honey. Mark let us taste some and it was delicious. It was still warm and tasted sweet and very light.
Also hosted another Seguin Knit Nite last Friday. When Jacki came, she had no idea she'd be doing double duty as knitter and beekeeper's helper! She was a real sport and tried out the bee deal with only a little nervousness. As a knitter, she's been doing great. Jacki, you can now tell all the people who doubted you that they can take a number for a Jacki Creation! Silvia was doing fine also and has moved on to fun, fuzzy yarn. Jessica joined us for the first time and picked up knitting in no time! I had a really fun and relaxing evening. It was a great way to end a busy week off and to get me geared up for my new job, which I will be starting tomorrow morning! I hope I can take some cool pics of the steel mill in the future. And I hear there are planned tours of the mill this coming year so you never know, some of you may be coming with me for a tour!
Hope you all have a great week!

You work tomorrow?...bummer! What are supers in relation to bee's? The things that hold the honey? Nice to see you spreading the knitting thing around, but have you got anyone to take up beading? You pusher you! :D
As for tours, count me in.
Supers are those boxes that hold frames, ready for the bees to build upon and produce honey.
And yes, I discovered two beaders here in Seguin who are new to it and so they may be what I need to rediscover beading once I have a place to spread stuff out a bit.
