Doesn't she look so relaxed...so regal? She is outside the National Archives in DC. I went with Mark to the American Library Association Annual Conference last week and we had a blast. We spent a day at the Archives doing research on Smokey Joe Williams' grandfather, Calvin Williams of Seguin. Actually he's from Virginia but after the Civil War, he left Fort McKavett and came to Seguin. I hope Mark will be able to pull all the research he has together into a book. I feel like I know this man we have been studying for so long now!
Though I am working in town now, the new job is requiring more time and energy than anticipated. So I must go on break for a while. I will post at some point in the future.
