It's good to post again.

I'm back!

I have now been at my new job for a little over four months and I am really enjoying it. I have a bit of a break and won't be traveling for a while (anything over 3 weeks is defined as "a while" these days) so I thought I'd pick up my personal blog again. Since June, I have traveled to Hope (AR),Columbia (SC) twice, Las Vegas (NV), and closer to home, Houston (TX). Gosh, when I list them out, it doesn't seem like that many locations but I sure feel like I have been away more than I've been home!

It's October and I made a visit today to the pumpkin patch across the street at the church. I really like all the different shapes, sizes, colors and uniqueness of the pumpkins. They have lots. You can see more pics on my flickr page if you wish.
I didn't pick any out yet b/c it is way too warm. In the sun on our porch, the pumpkins will just rot away I'm afraid.

Mark and I have been busy, busy this year. Lots of work on the house as well as new jobs. We finally got all our new furniture in place and all the floors refinished! Hooray. Still working on cleaning out and reorganizing files. Mark's now at Asset Management for City of SA but it is meant to be an interim position. I'm very excited for him but hope it doesn't wear him out too much. We also made a trip back up to Connecticut and New York last month. The weather was fabulous and it was great to see family and do more Smokey Joe research.

Better get back to some work. Expect more regular posting this fall.
