To go along with Seguin Photo Blog, I am doing this quickie post about tonight's big event. Mark was ordained this evening and is now a deacon at Second Baptist, where we have been attending for about three years. In addition to this crew, Mark's parents were also able to join us and we are all very, very happy for Mark. Congratulations honey!
When I wrote to a friend that Mark was going to be ordained, she wrote back that the Mark she thought she knew just kept surprising her. There are all these things about Mark that so few people know -- like keeping bees or being ordained or his passion for historical research. The man is full of surprises people. Good night. I'll try and post some more this week.

I was a member of an American Baptist church for eons, until we moved to our present home. I never heard of being ordained to be a deacon. Sounds really like a meaningful thing, I just never heard of it.
All that to say...Congratulations and its a great picture of you two. You look so happy.
