Lambo & Banana Splits

What do these two things have in common? And what in the world is LAMBO??? Check him out....isn't he adorable? :)

Lambo, sometimes Lambie

Yesterday we had a Paycall at work. We've moved to a biweekly pay schedule but once a month, we still try to gather as a group in IT to talk about things and also to be social. There are usually breakfast tacos, fruit, beverages and PRIZES! All that and a paycheck too. Not to mention a handshake and "thank you for your hard work" from your bosses. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel to be a part of this. There are stresses for sure but you sure feel appreciated too. I have not felt any dread in returning to work in the 9+ months I've been here. What a great feeling.

So, I won this adorable lamb during Paycall. Talk about crazy. I go through 3/4 of my life not ever winning anything and in the past few years, it's like I can't lose! Won the Bowen autographed jersey last year, an autographed Manu book and bobble head and now Lambie. He makes me happy when I see him in the office. We have designated him our training team mascot at work. Sonia and a friend said we should call him Lambo b/c that's tough and I like that but I still can't decide.

Afternoon snack

Now what about the banana split? Well, we had our IT birthday celebration today and different teams are responsible for setting up the party. Today, we had banana splits! It was awesome. So though most of us were pretty busy and I missed the actual party, the makings for yummy afternoon snacking was available most of the afternoon and I finally got mine. It made for a festive Friday. Not to mention a work session this morning that was two hours but made more fun b/c it involved Las Palmas breakfast tacos and learning how to use a really cool e-learning tool called Camtasia.

What can top such a great week? How about dinner at Big Kahuna with our friends? We had about 14 people join us and had a blast. As a matter of fact, I was having such a great time, I didn't take the usual number of pictures and I actually FORGOT to get a shot of the Vietnamese crepes they made special for us. Bummer. Man, I think I was talking and munching and all of a sudden, the crepes were gone and no photo had been taken. That's funny. Food wins over my digicam. :) It was so great to have new friends meet old friends. Made me really miss some other friends who have moved on...

Love "Lambo" and congratulations on winning. Its so good to hear you so happy. When you are doing the right thing everything just falls into place. That's the way I feel about our move 9 months ago to this wonderful house and really great new church. Life is so GOOD.
