What my vacation did for me...
It reminded me that there are more important things in life than work yourself into the night and then again by 7:15 a.m. the next morning.
It reminded me that finding shells and running from rushing cold Atlantic Ocean water is a wonderful stress reliever and it just makes you so relaxed that all your worries and thoughts about how to fix problems simply wash away with each receeding wave.
It reminded me that I enjoyed reading and journaling and that I actually did more of these things before I started living online so much.
It reminded me riding a bike around Ocracoke Island makes me feel like I'm a kid again and I'm biking all over my old neighborhood...exploring all the cool things you don't see riding around in a car.
It reminded me that we are so, so, so small when we stand next to the sea or the lighthouses.
And most importantly, it reminded me that while I am working hard fixing problems and finding solutions to meet business needs, I have to remember to have fun and to laugh and to leave it all at work sometimes.
