Chillin' out on Friday Night

Tonight I am thinking of my parents and missing them. Sometimes you know you have to have your own space (state) in order to have your own life and identity but it doesn't mean you don't miss being near people who mean a lot to you.

Aren't they a handsome pair?? I have always loved these photographs of my parents. Why? Well for many reasons. But one that comes to mind is this...you think of and see your parents in one way. You know. They're your PARENTS. But then I see these glamorous shots of them and think, "Wow! They are so young and gorgeous! I wonder what they were like at the age [early 20s]."

What else is going on? Let's see...it was a CRAZY week at work. C-R-A-Z-Y. Meeting, meeting, meeting. Talks, emails, tracking info and people...on and on. But we did have a great Friday? Why? My trainers came home! They've been on the road for weeks and it was just fantastic to hear them in the office and to have a chance to just be together as a team. In their honor, I hosted Treat Friday. Food + friends = FUN!

And tonight I'm enjoying blogging, working with some photos (organizing) and watching TV. :) What Not to Wear, Unwrapped (The Secret Life of Pizza) and next up will be several episodes of CSI (original). No work tonight. I am giving myself that. Tomorrow? Bee check!

Ready for the week?

I think I am. This has been one of the nicest weekends I have had in a really long time. For starters, I didn't have to pack and travel today nor will I have to this coming week! Cool. I love traveling but it's great to be home and to think about not having to go anywhere until mid-November is hard to get my mind around right now. We have been traveling so much the past few months, I have just gotten use to being half-packed all the time.

Back to my wonderful weekend. Gosh, what didn't we do? LOL. Friday we had a great date night and just really enjoyed being together, unrushed. We even did a late night run to Whataburger. Now that was fun. Naughty but fun. Saturday I went for a walk/run and enjoyed the cool morning. It was so, so nice. Then we strolled to a cool house down the street to check out the garage sale (found one thing). Lunch was at the Ranchito so that we could meet up with friends to split up SPURS TICKETS. That's right, it's Spurs time!! We got first pick again; we're on a roll. We're excited to have the season starting soon. (I'm sad the Silver Starz got swept but hopefully better luck next time ladies.)

Today I worked on my desk clutter a bit and then Lan came to visit and have dinner. And the Cowboys won. And we saw some cool games, both college and NFL so it's been fun. There were some really good fumbles, tackles and generally bad QB decision-making today so it makes for great highlights. Very funny stuff.
