Went to Spurs/Lakers game Friday night. Terrible. We lost by 8. But it's the losing to the Quality Beef, also known as Kobe, that is the worse part. People seemed pretty willing to forget the whole "incident" from last year and I did not hear as much boo-ing as I would have liked. Except from our section. We had some good fans near us so there were plenty of high-fives and talk going, particularly with the 3 young boys who stood in the aisle, worshiping the Beef's every move. Ugh. Gross. I went to get an usher twice so they can make people clear the aisle next to and behind us. The nose-bleed section folks like to just stand there b/c it's a good view. If they were quiet little Lakers fans maybe they could have stayed. Hee.
Anyway, it was a sorry weekend for our sporting teams. State lost Wake and Duke won the conference. Yuck, though better than UNC anyday. Then Texas lost to Kansas for their conference. At least the Spurs beat Houston today. Uncle Mark and I are waiting to see if our teams will play each other in the second round of the Atlanta division. Crazy, huh? If we can beat California then we'll meet up with Texas. Go Wolfpack! Note to self, start praying now for a miracle.
