Hi 2013

shamrock bloom
The bad thing about coming back to La China is that I see my mom pictures and it makes me miss her terribly although I think of her every single day. I think I have been avoiding La China. I'll try and be better. :)

I picked this shamrock to snap when I saw it outside our front door in one of the flower beds I need to cultivate. It reminded me of Mom's shamrocks though her blooms were white. And always abundantly blooming.

Happy Year of the Tiger!

Yellow Mum

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a great start to the new Lunar year! I, unfortunately, ended up fighting a bad headache that turned into a migraine so I could not post new year greeting until today. Nor did I make my round of calls to wish the family well. :-( Well, making up for it this evening.

This is a flower from the beautiful arrangement Mark gave me for Valentine's Day but the yellow is nice for New Year celebrations as well. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband and a great life. My goals this year include taking better care of myself physically and emotionally (stress) so that I can get better control over my health. Mark and I are back at it at the gym and we're very excited about goals we have set for ourselves! :-)

Here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous new year for everyone!

My love of pink

Pink on black poinsetta

I love pink and I love how this shot turned out! This is a poinsetta I saw while picking up two for Melissa. We're going to visit her and Boyce tomorrow in Lake Charles. She likes pink as well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you have a safe and wonderful break! :-)

Ah, Friday.

White bloom on cotton

I'm so glad it's Friday. But I have so much work to catch up on and a book I want to read and beads I want to make something with and a sewing machine I want to learn how to use and music I want to listen to and blogs I want to visit and on and on. Sometimes it's hard to pick something to do when you have so much to enjoy. I am so lucky to have options. I am still sad about the documentary about Tibet Mark and I watched last week. It again made me realize how lucky I am to have moved to the US. I wonder what I would be doing had we remained in Vietnam. Hmm.

So, before I go, I just have to say that work is amazing me. All of a sudden, we are like a hot commodity and eveyone wants help with training. Next week I go to NV, then Sonia goes to Iowa, then we both will need to visit new locations recently joined with CMC. They are in Vegas (Sonia's so excited about this for the casinos, me for the scenery and photo ops) and three different cities in CA. Looks like a busy August and September!

I met a nice fellow photoblogger today while attending a class at New Horizons. And he has a blog! It's always nice to share a hobby with others and to talk about it.

Have a great weekend everyone!
